Gingival Contouring
The shape of your gums can affect the look of your smile. If the gums cover a lot of the teeth, they can cause the teeth to appear small, and the smile may seem gummy. Additionally, if the gingival tissue recedes, the teeth may appear larger than normal, causing the smile to look toothy.
To reduce the size of the gums, the dentist can cut away excess tissue, sculpting the soft tissues into a more attractive configuration.
